Carlo D’Orta (Florence 1955), traveler and photographer, his photographic vision undergoes continuous development, from the initial approach to documentary-inspired abstract or tinged shots with a metaphysical vision.

He favors the architecture, focusing on the decontextualization of the details and the deformation produced by the reflections of windows and glasses. He exploits certain shooting perspectives compressing the depth through a strong zoom up to make the landscapes of abstract geometries. Here appears strong reminiscence of Cubism and Constructivism with profound references to Malevich, Mondrian, El Lissitzky, Rothko and Peter Halley.
