Marisa Facchinetti (Val d’Ossola, 1948), painter, sculptor and engraver, lives and works in Rome. She trained at the Academy of Fine Arts and the historical School of Ornamental Arts of Rome.
Color is the propulsive center of her work. Vibrant and volitional but at the same time joyful, her touches unfold on the canvases creating colorful rhythms. A balance marked by broad brushstrokes, bearers of vibrant colors, enliven the surface which gives off a light and an instinctive, natural harmony. Minimalism characterizes Facchinetti’s work, a creative impulse with spontaneous traits which makes its production never identical to one another, albeit similar, as produced by the same creative impulse.
