Massimo Luccioli (Tarquinia 1952), has graduated in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome with Alberto Ziveri. After attending the Roman artistic circles as a painter he approaches the sculpture in collaboration with Giovanni Calandrini. Driven by the desire to acquire and test new ways of expression, he experimented different languages and artistic techniques such as drawing, painting, graphics, sculpture with terracotta, bronze and ceramics.

The artistic research of Massimo Luccioli has always been characterized by the need to explore one’s inner reality with a secret sense of restlessness and an acute philosophical tension. A cosmos conceived in its entirety through a sum of facts and sensations that generate scans and caesura, shadows and lights, pauses and vital momentum. Painting and sculpture must build their own autonomous language and in the elaboration of this language, find a substance and justification.
